Resolved Question: what can i do about my cousin?

Ok here's the story. We've been best friends since he moved from texas in 2002. We did everything together and always stayed at each others houses. Now that he graduated high school and turned 18, he does whatever he wants. He drinks like crazy, he partys, he gambles, and he even shoplifts which I told him to cease. He has not taken the sats or signed up for classes at a community college. He had a job at mcdonalds which he decided to quit after 2 weeks. Now, his mom kicked out of the home (single parent) and he has no where to go. Should I buy him a plane ticket to live with me in my apartment and charge him rent? I could convince him to go to the junior college close my place, he has about $1500 in his bank. Or should I not do anything and look where he ends up? After every, he is family.

Open Question: Suggestions for winter wedding OOT bags?

I'm getting married in Lake Tahoe in December and wanted to include items in the out of town (OOT) bags that have a winter feel to them, or even better, a Lake Tahoe feel. So far, we have single ornaments, a stocking, candy canes, hot cocoa, and I'm making gingerbread cupcakes. I was thinking maybe those individual hand/feet warmer packets? We're also including playing cards and attaching a $5 gambling chip to the bag. Other than the usual snacks, wine and water, I would adore any other ideas you guys have!

Open Question: What do you think about this job?

I've been put into acting since i was 5 years old. I've done everything from horrors, dramas, musicals, etc. The list goes on. I've been in acting academies, i've even directed my possess play that was put on for the entire city i lived in. I've been in every school play since I was in school, i took acting classes since i was in 7th grade every the way to my senior year. I've done everything and anything that is related to acting. I now want to make a career out of every this time and energy put into this. I'm a little uncertain because everyone in my life has told me it is a waste of my time and that i should receive a job as a dentist or a veterinarian (a "realistic" job.) But I don't want to work as any of those, I don't want a 9-5 dead-end job. I want to pursue acting career wise. I'm a very determined person. I lived in Cali for 2 years and while i was there I tried to hook up with 3 different agencies and they every wanted about 500 bucks to receive me started. But an insider told me that agencies that are legit don't ask for money. So, now i'm in Phoenix ready to give it another go. From what you have heard, does it sounds like a waste of my time, or do you think i should take a gamble and go for the gold?

Resolved Question: I'm looking for an episode of Intervention about an addictive gambler?

This episode is very old! It was about an older guy who lives in a hotel room that his parents pay for and he gambles away their money. He was very...different acting. I don't think he was on any drugs, maybe alcohol. His biggest problem was the gambling addiction. At the end he ended up going to treatment but he relapsed and it said his parents continue to support his gambling. He was the only addict in this episode. I want to show this episode to my mum! Please help me find his name! Thank you!

Resolved Question: Atheists: I have a question for you...?

If I were a gambling man, which option should I pick? Become an Atheist: 1. If I'm right, when I die nothing happens. 2. If I'm wrong, and Christianity is right, when I die I go to the lake of flame. 3. If I’m wrong, and any other religion is right, I still don’t receive into their paradise. Become a Follower of any religion except Christianity: 1. If I’m right, I go to that paradise. 2. If I’m wrong, and atheism is right, when I die nothing happens. 3. If I’m wrong, and Christianity is right, I go to the lake of flame. Become a Christian: 1. If I'm right, I go to Heaven. 2. If I'm wrong, and atheism is right, when I die nothing happens. 3. If I’m wrong, and any other religion is right, when I die I still go to Heaven, Nirvana, etc. because my good deeds outweigh my bad (which is the standard to receive into every other religions’ paradise). So which options gives me the highest probability of happiness after I die? This is similar to Pascal’s wager, but it considers every possibilities (I had to add this for certain people). Even if you want to theorize other possibilities the outcomes would every be the same, leading to a wash for those other possibilities. Even Richard Dawkins agrees that life follows a type of Pascal’s wager (he just is betting that there is no God). Richard Dawkins argues for an "anti-Pascal wager" in his book, The God Delusion. "Suppose we grant that there is indeed some tiny chance that God exists. Nevertheless, it could be said that you will guide a better, fuller life if you bet on his not existing, than if you bet on his existing and therefore squander your precious time on worshipping him, sacrificing to him, fighting and dying for him, etc."
